Re: Xseed announces limited edition bundle
You two should be ashamed of yourselves! *Administers spankings* . Borgan ('s American outtakes) sez: "You need a shpanking! Ugh! If I weren't dying I'd give you a good shpanking..." Also, I've not really seen much in the way of damage via shipping from either Amazon Japan or Amazon Ameri...

Heheheh.Silver Phoenix wrote:I will kill you right now. Johnny Yong Bosch is way overused, and was better as a Power Ranger.
Also, unrelated, and not necessarily a bad thing, but I hereby give you a trophy as thread-ender.

Re: LUNAR 2 Japanese tracklist for Alex's Ocarina
Oh, but we have indeed had this topic. I think it was killed along with most of the pre-2005 threads. Here's the list from the ocarina again, top to bottom, 51 songs. Regards and RIP to our kind friends at Lunar Hope who went to the bother to type this up for me, since I couldn't be bothered to play...

Re: Game crashes?
There were a whole lot more complaints on Amazon about the atrocious, inexplicable load times than crashes, though, so I wouldn't worry about that aspect so much. Then again, you can never tell when it's just a bunch of 2ch kids who have been sent over to deluge the reviews section as a prank, but I...

Re: This Game Can Kiss My Ass.
This is definitely worthy of its own thread, and could sort of provide a more cheerful counterpoint to this one. I obsess over TSS-SSS a lot in my head, even if I hardly ever get to talk to people about it in real life. Which is to say, never. The specifics could go in the new thread, but a nice way...

Re: Lunar Harmony of Silver Star - Four Heroes scenario (video)
Of course Ghaleon's reference to Dyne at his demise. Was that something WD threw in or was that also in the Japanese game? I'd say that the feeling of a history lost over centuries is part of the charm of EB's setting. The whole Zophar and Cult of Althena plot relies on the real-life fact that peop...

Re: This Game Can Kiss My Ass.
Hum, this is a lot of sound and fury over a (okay) remake, but as mentioned above, Shigema's own take on his world is probably still the best way to deal with any disappointments, the part where he once said he thought of the different versions as being the results of different storytellers. Mr. PSP...

Re: Lunar Harmony of Silver Star - Four Heroes scenario (video)
Well, you could do it as "Magic Reactor," too, but that word is a little incongruous for Lunar's world. Hum.

Re: Lunar Harmony of Silver Star - Four Heroes scenario (video)
I agree with Temzin. (As usual. ^_^) The translation is serviceable, but there are a few places where fine-tuning would be worthwhile. "This could be the beginning of a beautiful friendship," as Bogey says. Meanwhile, another thing about the addition of Aiferun that struck me today, conti...

Re: Lunar Harmony of Silver Star - Four Heroes scenario (video)
I didn't watch the entire video. But just a question: does the translation there seem 'complete' enough? I'll probably do my own translation of this somewhere on down the line, but I was just curious if other people felt this one offered enough information. What I saw was all right. KF I wasn't pay...

Re: On its way!
Don't make such a big issue out of a simple concept. Ah, but I was just responding to the repeated calls for the nebulous concept of "professional voice actors" for the English version of this game, and the US is a country where professional actors don't really exist by and large. If it s...

Re: Vanguard - Major Lunar Developer?
Agreed on EB remake. Such a waste, especially after the splendor of SSS's production (all gripes about changes aside). FFVI Advance is just...a valient attempt at a port for a weak system like GBA. "Remixed" music is charitable---it's the best they could do with the vastly inferior soundch...

Re: Vanguard - Major Lunar Developer?
Right you are. Sometime, some thread, sometime after we're all done talking about good things like Harmony, let's have a Thread of Lament together about Eternal Blue's remake. People grumble about the TSS to SSS conversion a lot (understandably), but given how different the two are, I've always been...

Re: On its way!
What G1 said. Delahousse is outstanding...as Ireland said in the Making of video, he embodies a dragon voice like no one else. As I wrote before one time, he and Truitt are the only two truly indispensible actors in the first game. T. Owen Smith is pretty wonderful, too, though I think that the Amer...

Re: On its way!
If you re-listen to Ghaleon's dialogue when he first meets Alex in TSS he sounds overly cocky and sinister, which is a bit forced. To be fair, this is the tone that Naya Rokurou had in the original TSS too, though the effect is accomplished with his wavery voice instead of Truitt's sneering voice. ...

Re: News Which Includes but is Not Limited to Spoilers
[Prologue spoiling rambles] You know, it was kind of interesting that even while TSS' reality has been completely written out of the Lunar series at this point, the nature of the prologue in this new version actually gives a nod to the original scenario in a way that never was much mentioned (to my ...

Re: On its way!
I'm mostly just amused that once again Iwadare has included the universally despised "Passing Beyond the Cave" dragon dungeon music from EB on another Lunar album, and on a limited edition CD, no less! I can't tell if he finds it hysterically funny to keep alive the worst piece he's ever w...

Re: Will Xseed dub the songs or just subtitle them?
Phew, Shiva, I'm glad to see it wasn't just me and the LunarHope kids who had gripes about the terrifying drop in art quality for the Eternal Blue remake's cinemas, made all the more glaring given the high quality of the character portraits by the text boxes. Not that this is the place for that disc...

Right, and the description talks about 'a sorceress' abducting Lila (Lily) rather than the 'Sorceress Xenobia' like in the caption for Mel's stoning. Rouyce it is! ...Come to think of it, didn't SSS have Rouyce rather than Xenobia turning Mel to stone? I like to think that they would scale down the ...
