Re: Is Metallica EVER gonna make a new album?

There were a lot of times where the symphony and the band seemed to be out of sync and the sounds clashed rather than meshed. Actually it almost seemed like the two were working against each other at some points. I remember hearing the orchestrated version of Master of Puppets for the first time and...

Re: Musicians and your gear ^.^

Oh my. Oh my. PBR. Yes. A lot of people around here like that. And Milwaukee's Best I haven't tried, so I can't make any judgments about that. My fiancee has turned me into a bit of a beer snob, which is fine, because I was wondering why I didn't like the most common beers (Budweiser, Miller Lite) ...

Re: Is Metallica EVER gonna make a new album?

S&M is relatively weak in my opinion.... Apocalyptica did a better job with re-composing their songs than they did =/... and Metallica hasn't been metal since ...And Justice For All.

I do have to admit that No Leaf Clover is a decent song though.

Re: Is Metallica EVER gonna make a new album?

They say it'll be out in the fall. Personally, I think your question should be whether or not anyone will actually care about the new album.

Sara Bareilles

So, I finally took initiative and looked into this chick after getting recommendations from a lot of friends. After seeing her perform a stripped down set on the Today Show, I decided that I had to see for myself if she was the real or not. I tried to keep my hopes down, but this girl showed amazing...

Agalloch - The White EP

Agalloch is a band that is shrouded in about the same amount of mystery as their music is. They do shows about twice a year... typically in Europe, and they're described as "unpredictable" and "incendiary" (sweet, sounds like my kind of gig). Their album "The Mantle" pu...

Ghosts I-IV

"We're very proud to present a new collection of instrumental music, Ghosts I-IV. Almost two hours of music recorded over an intense ten week period last fall, Ghosts I-IV sprawls Nine Inch Nails across a variety of new terrain. Trent Reznor explains, "I've been considering and wanting to ...

Re: Lack of Asmodean

It's entirely possible to kill almost every NPC and PC if you have a large enough group of level 70s, at least in a PVP server where you can raid against the other faction. On my server there was actually a Night Elf rogue that almost stealth through all of Undercity to try to assassinate the two Un...

Wow. Really? *checks* I guess I never announced it. I, um, I'm sorry. My questions upon reading this run kind of like this: 1. I didn't tell you guys? Big whoops. I thought I had posted on the boards. But... it's really touchy, because once I've told my family and some friends in about eight or ten...

Ah, I only have a level 40 and a level 10, and I rarely play.... I find that I'm much happier that way.

On the Grammys

Let me just say that I am relieved that Herbie Hancock's "River: The Jonie Letters" actually won. It's been a long time coming for jazz to take a major award, though I must say that, while Hancock won, the spotlight was on the rest of the performers. Besides that, where were the Grammy's w...

Fair To Midland

These guys have just recently caught my attention while I was in Florida for a bit. To be honest, they're Between the Buried and Me for those who don't enjoy screaming and aren't metallically inclined. They are adept at fluidly switching between genres and frequently careen between U2 and classic ha...

Trent Reznor live acoustic!

Yes, yes, that's right. Sometime in 2006, Trent played a bunch of acoustic songs for the Bridge School Benefit show, and it's so freaking cool. You can find some of the songs on YouTube, and I'm sure that there are bootlegs bouncing around too :) PS - Trent Reznor is Nine Inch Nails, and that's not ...
