I don't approve of homosexuality on religious grounds. (This does not mean I abuse or refuse to associate with people who are homosexual any more than I refuse to people who have sex outside of marriage, which I also disapprove of.) That said, it's hard for me to get worked up one way or another on ...

Aw, I'm envious...I adore my OED on CD, but it's from 1992 and isn't on the computer I use now. Who here was it who had a sig saying "We love our Kizzie" before? Mia or Alayna, I mean Julie or Lucia, I think. Anyway, I'm abstaining from this poll. Too hard a choi...I mean, he's not stupid enough for...

Also...for a mp3 player it's huge, for a DVD player it's not only tiny but requires you to buy the same movie again on their proprietary UMD format, and likewise with its game properties...it's not backwards compatible (how would it play a CD?) and so you're limited to the PSP-specific lineup. Which...

My last attempt at making this post got eaten when the net went down for a bit...and of course in redoing it it became much longer. Regarding Elie and MS, here's what Rebecca's translation notes of the MS manga and a clip from her translation itself say: Dadis teaches the make-up magic class which a...

Yes, you've made that incredibly brilliant observation before, as if it hadn't come up months earlier. I don't think I voted; none of the choices were that great to me. I liked Scarlet Sun best but didn't think it was likely to fit with the story and didn't want another Lunar with the initials SS, a...

Yeah, pretty much. It's getting very hard for a 2d game to be approved. When I first played SSSC, I'd only played about two current-generation games, Ocarina of Time and Legend of Legaia. I was really startled to see that SSSC was still 2D since I'd thought all the current games would be 3D like Leg...

The firmware updates close holes that the people making these homebrew programs use to get them to run. That's not very precise, but that's the gist.

Well, if the threads are marked as spoilers, then it's understandable. When spoilers are in the title of the threads, or when an otherwise spoilerfree thread suddenly has them, it's pretty awful. I definitely would recommend reading the previous books first, at least the fourth and fifth (and the se...

The Fake Althena's main characteristic, besides stupidity, was beauty. That seems likely to be why she was selected; eternal beauty is also what Zophar promised her. Anyway, I don't really see a connection to Phacia, and of course her design predated Phacia's -- at the time of EB's development, all ...

I've never read a Harry Potter book in my entire life. Thanks for sharing. Rather than cluttering this up, why don't you go post in some thread whose topic you actually know about? It took me..hm, bought it around 1pm, finished it about 11 but I had a couple meal breaks and such...probably about 7-...

Besides Lucia's tower (which I always thought of as Assyrian for some reason), there's the fact that Zophar arose there, and Althena was there as well. There's no reason to assume the Blue Star (sorry, I don't like the name Terra at all in this context) is lacking in magic. I can't say I go for the ...

I forget exactly what Legend said about the cave, but the area was called Sub-Vane. Which isn't terribly illuminating, I realize. I'm pretty sure that they were called ruins. However, they needn't have originally been underground; cities end up building on top of themselves, so to speak -- look at U...

Yeah, that was another point I forgot to mention...that anyone in the party in EB can use any of the dragon spells, by equipping the crests. Back to Vane and Ghaleon's race, another point in the manga is that when Ghaleon and Dyne go to Vane Ghaleon says something about the reputation of his kind be...

Anyone else finished Harry Potter 6 yet?

I finished it last night -- was slowed down from having to travel. Don't have anything in particular to say about it yet, just thought I'd see who else got it.

He's unambiguously Mazoku (Vile Tribe), from the Shigema-approved Vheen manga. Don't think there's any reason to read more into that. I think Shigema may have called him something else when it was only TSS, but that was before all the backstory was developed.

And your point is...? WD and Game Arts aren't the same people. Game Arts develops, or oversees someone else developing, WD localizes. Except that they didn't localize Legend and won't localize DS, so they're likely out of the Lunar business. You cited the presence of an unnamed RPG on WD's site as a...

They don't just sell the soundtracks, though; they only replace them. You have to send them your original one to get one back.
