Re: Are you excited about Lunar: Harmony of Silver Star?

I voted "Kind of" ... I am cautiously optimistic. Obviously I would prefer Lunar 3 to yet another remake, but that really isn't the biggest problem I have with this. It is really just a bunch of little things that add up to me not being quite as excited as I would like to be. I do not own ...

Re: *sigh"* Just waiting for a trailer...

I missed out on the Sega CD versions when they first came out because I never owned a Sega CD, but I can still remember seeing an ad for EB in GamePro with the whole "In the darkest hour ... Hope springs Eternal!" line and the WD "Our Games Go To 11!" slogan for the first time. I...

Re: Dilemma

I'm glad I don't have this problem. I still love games as much as I always did, and even now I'm always replaying the classics. Recently I've been replaying Xenosaga III, Disgaea/2, Phantom Brave and some other somewhat new PS2 releases because I don't have any money to buy new games right now. I ha...

Re: Im kind of sick of people saying the first lunar was better

EB > EBC > TSS > SSSC. Just my opinion. I liked the characters a lot more in EB and just the general atmosphere. There was something really exciting about having a "Goddess" (or equivalent, whatever) actually in your party, having her powers cursed and weakened, etc. and watching her slowl...

Let's count our blessings. At least you weren't injured. Better giant hail in your car than in your skull, no? Sorry to hear that though. Looks like a mess.

Re: Which Opening is better- TSS or SSSC?

TSS easily. Though it gave me more of an 80's vibe than 90's, which is part of the appeal for me. It really got me pumped up. I still love SSS' opening though. It just doesn't get me quite as pumped up. It sets a very different mood.

Re: Michael Jackson is dead!

I watched it. It felt rushed, which I suppose it was. Most of the performers were not at their best (Mariah Carey was off key the entire time, I swear) and there were far too many unknowns for such an important ceremony. I didn't recognize a single person singing "We Are The World". I was ...

Re: What are your hopes for Harmony?

I wouldn't mind some additional FMVs as a bit of a surprise, because I am sure most people aren't expecting them. I'd also like some of the better story elements from TSS to be carried over instead of the changes in SSS, but that is looking less and less likely. Some more bromides (if they even HAVE...

This remake is worth it just for the new artwork. Maybe we'll get new artbooks and everything. I HAVE BEEN BITTEN BY THE LUNAR BUG ONCE AGAIN.

Re: TWO new magazine scans found!

Well this confirms without a doubt that the game will be following SSS and not TSS, since we can see Luna on the Hispaniola. Am I the only one who is bothered by the new character artwork accompanying the text? It seems to huge and obtrusive, especially when you consider it is going to be on a tiny ...

Re: Luna's Holo (spoilers)

I'm a little confused by your post. It seems that you are suggesting that the demonic parents were removed from SSS because of the religious context (what religious context?) and how that is treated in America. That was removed in Japan too, you know. And Japan hardly ever censors religious things i...

Re: Michael Jackson is dead!

Americans love scandal. If some dirty secret in a celebrity's past is revealed, Americans don't wait for the verdict. They immediately accept it as the truth because that is far more entertaining for them. Who cares what kind of impact it has on the celebrity involved - it is entertaining! And that ...

Re: Michael Jackson is dead!

I really appreciated his music, but no matter how much I want to like him, one thing stays in my mind. It's his interview where he said that he believed that there was nothing wrong with sleeping with little children. To be fair, you're taking that completely out of context AND misquoting him. He s...

Re: Debate: Luna and Alex's Romance is Awesome or Creepy?

I'm guessing the people commenting that it seems implausible or whatnot haven't grown up with a foster or step-sibling, someone they always knew wasn't really a sibling? I haven't either, but input from someone who has would be useful. I have in a sense. It probably isn't what you were looking for ...

Re: Michael Jackson is dead!

This is seriously the end of an era. Even though his musical success has been pretty lackluster in recent years and completely overshadowed by his personal life, I know that a lot of people were looking forward to his upcoming tour and the possible comeback of the King of Pop. A lot of dreams were c...

Re: Debate: Luna and Alex's Romance is Awesome or Creepy?

I wouldn't call it creepy , but I did always feel that id cheapened their romance a bit. It is just this dark dirty thing that they can't quite escape. Sure there are plenty of explanations and excuses that could be made about how they knew they were not related and such, but I don't think blood is ...

It is like choosing which child is your favorite. So difficult and it feels so wrong! Let's see... 1) Lunar 2 2) Lunar 1 3) Xe...
