A few points: 1) The thing about it is that the media has no intent of portraying ANY religion in any light other than negative or controversial. And it's not some secular destructo-mission, it's money. People want to hear about strife and conflict and anger. They want to stir up controversy, becaus...

I'm no expert, but wouldn't the powder from the blast have cauterized the wound since he shot it so close? If he moved his hand a lot than it would reopen. That's just what someone told me. Doubtfully, the muzzle blast from a gun, even at that range is not concentrated enough, or there for a long e...

UPDATE: Fumio Kyuma had officially resigned as Japanese Defense Minister as of July 3rd. Initially stating an apology for statements made would not be in order, later that day he apologized on Fuji TV. However when his apology could not settle his critics he decided to resign in order to calm his de...

Japanese Defense Minister angers citizens.

Good grief that is so incredibly fake. The sound of the gun is way off, there's no ricochet of the bullet when it hits the floor or accompanying sound, the blood does not splatter like that when shot in an appendege with as little blood as the hand or foot. I mean a full pint came out of one hand. U...

I am really interested to see where that gun came from, it's a gang-linked family that apparently only the victim was rising beyond, (Editorialization to make it seem more tragic = fail) and the family banded together to try and obstruct the investigation, in the process hiding the gun. There are a ...

Mob kills good-samaritan in Texas

(4 days old but it's still an unbelievable news story) http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20070620/ap_on_re_us/crash_assault;_ylt=AuGgEgdFhr0oD9ldVEjmfOOs0NUE AUSTIN, Texas - An angry crowd beat a man to death after a vehicle he was riding in struck and injured a young girl, police said Wednesday. Live Free or Die Hard is going to fail so bad, in 20th Century Fox's desperate attempt to cover up the lack of creativity in Hollywood they are forcing a sequel and ignoring the originals for the sake of opening it to a larger audience. PG-13......for shame 20th Century Fox. Yippee ki yay mother goo...

Oh yea, FLAC, I forgot about that. Typically you can just find third party software that can read/convert .wav in FLAC I think foobar2000 and Winamp now do it, as well as a good amount of lesser know counterparts. Well, after checking, the ZVM can't play FLAC either, iPods can, but only through Rock...

So I'm finally buying a MP3 Player....

I'm 90% sure that I am going to go with the Creative Zen Vision M, the only thing that I am a bit hesitant about is the lack of .AAC support (I mean the quality between AAC and mp3 is like night and day). And because converting AAC's (Unfortunately I no longer have the original .wav files) to an mp3...

Hmm, I actually want Mitch Hedberg's "Mitch All Together" playing, I always figured it would be a good way to add some levity and joy to a situation that needs it.

I think you all missed the point. The show (while a hoax) wasn't to toy with people's emotions. It was to open people's eyes to organ donation. I highly doubt a horrible and disgusting hoax is the only way to raise awareness for Organ Donation. Notice how most people in this thread still maintained...

I renew my objection to all "Reality" Television, and thus suggest that it all must be destroyed. There is no creativity bound to it, it is merely an emotional peep show that allows people to jerk-off their emotions vicariously through carefully formulated reality TV show contestants. (All...

I still can't believe that people fell back on him of all people for messages of hope and love, and it's not that message that I have a problem with (obviously),but it's the fact that people then attribute the rest of what he says under the same basis of his hope and love message. There's something...

When you're someone in the public light, the effects of what you is what people notice, which isn't always proportional to what you invest your time in. Say, a President can spend all his time working on fixing health care, but in the end his election can be determined by the state of the economy, ...

The physical actions in ones life are reflections of ones faith. Though both faith and works alone are dead, true faith in God will yield good works in your life, and likewise forcing yourself to do good works often strengthens faith. Suicide is merely another reflection of the faith you had in your...

Well, not hatred per se, but he certainly made off-color remarks that didn't help his opinion among non-Christians, and some Christians such as myself. For example. "I really believe that the pagans, and the abortionists, and the feminists, and the gays and the lesbians who are actively trying ...

It's a good movie, a far superior third movie to say, X-Men The Last Stand (Which I also enjoyed), grab some friends and check it out. The big flaw was some predicatable moments in the middle and end (When you see it you will know what I'm talking about). In the beginning there were some great momen...
