Bravo, Parn, these are great! The instrumentation really is notably better, especially the violins...that was the key failing of the PS rendititons of Mega CD songs, and I'm really grateful to have these. If you care for Iwadare's official song titles out of the Ocarina from the Japanese version, I ...

Wahaha, Lunar-Net definitely goes to 11 in my book compared to all the Lunar sites I've seen (The Blue Star site was cool way back in the day, though). One thing I enjoyed reading a while back and translating this time was about things that they had thought of implementing before that they were actu...

That said, there was a bit of a difference by the time of the EB remake...the redrawn Hiero and Lucia have slightly pointier, less rounded faces (which for some reason translated into very pointy, blocky faces in some of the EB remake's animation, I have no idea why) than in his earlier work. This i...

Mega CD Lunar~Eternal Blue is far and away the winner for me, for so many reasons. It was the very first RPG I ever owned, for starters...I had pondered getting FFVI and Chrono Trigger, which I'd played at a friend's house and loved, but thought I should give this one a shot, especially since it wou...

While you're at it, a felllow called CaitSith2 made complete psf file rips (easily made into wavs/mp3s) out of the Playstation versions of the Lunar games, which should be easily findable, maybe even on Zophar's Domain. The dedicated can finally hear the full soundtrack that Two Five never gave to t...

I just checked, Alunissage, and yep, it's definitely in the original Mega CD (Japanese and American) version. In the Zophar's Revival scene as Lucia is hesitating, Zophar urges her on to use the power of Althena...and destroy the entire world. Althena's power is the power of creation, and Zophar sta...

The line is in the Zophar's Revival scene, almost verbatim like you said. I think I remember the no new creation without the destruction of the old being present in the Mega CD Lunar II as well as the American version...it wasn't as explicit in the Goddess Tower that Althena's power destroyed everyt...

Well, as long as this thread is still open...! Hmm, for non-party members, it's easily Ghaleon, both for his commendable depth of character for a villain and for his smirking creepiness. My love for his voice actor, Naya Rokurou, is rivaled only by my love for what they did in the US version with Jo...

Yeah, I somehow don't think that Legend was a hot enough topic to make it difficult to find used, your issue will just be finding an American company that bothers to stock it (surprisingly few beyond what I mentioned). Finding non Playstation the Best copies of the remakes or of Mega CD Lunar II tak...

Give Mail Order Japan (http://www.mailorderjapan.com I think) a spin. It's a small operation and they basically will sell whatever you ask for and they can dig up in Akihabara, where Legend should be easily found, even at this age.

Never thought to write them in English before (not enough Lunar fans I know in real life), but since I speak both languages I could give it a spin sometime if you think it would be helpful and Kizyr's swamped with work! I should have some free time in the next month if there are specific parts you w...

Yes, Shigema is the main writer (I know he was one of the two writers for Grandia II, but I don't think that is true for Grandia I). Though his main role at first was character designing, Kubooka himself plays a rather large role in story direction, particularly in that he oversaw the movies. Most E...

Unfortunately, Game Arts never did get around to making PC versions of EB or Magic School, though I wonder how much they made on that PC venture (evidently not enough). I feel like even semi-recently the blokes at Hongfire (m) had copies of the PC version circulating about, though it's long since di...

I'd gamble that you heard of that change originally through the Dark Scimitar Grotto, Alunissage, since they mentioned dialog changes in reference to the Dark Scimitar fiasco. They even had wavs of certain dialogue so Americans could compare the originial voices, and they mention that bit with Zopha...
