Unlikely. All we know about Nall's origins is that Dyne showed up with him and baby Luna at Alex's house fifteen years before the game time begins, and I think he was described as being a baby too. Mia's just being silly.

Well, I'm still working on Majora's Mask. Was hoping to play it tonight but I probably won't. And I'd like to replay Legaia sometime.

Although, as I pointed out before, you can't tell what this thread is about from the title so you won't know until after you've clicked on it. But indeed there is no reason for Xandal to continue reading the thread knowing what the subject is and that spoilers are likely to be present.

Wow, that's different. I'll try to work up a detailed response when I have more time/mental energy, but that's just so totally different in feel and approach from any other fanart I've seen that it will really take some thought and reorienting, so to speak. Quick impression of the color scheme was t...

You know, we really ought to archive game saves at all sorts of points in the games, both US and Japanese, so stuff like this can be checked more easily. Then again, I don't know how many people have DexDrives now. My Saturn EB save might be around there, if I can find it. Of course, I can't read Ja...

And it still doesn't occur to you that that's intentional and you shouldn't try to defeat it? If G1's set things up to do that, then he surely has a good reason and you shouldn't be trying to work against him on his own board.

If Meribia lasted a thousand years to the time of EB (and looked fairly unchanged) then it's not that unlikely that it existed a thousand years previous, too, at least in some form. Think about how old Rome is. There'd have to ba a port town on the mainland if Caldor Isle is inhabited, and there's n...

Arutena. It's visible in one of the first screenshots in Kizyr's Legend guide, if you read katakana.

And I said the same difference existed between Luna and Lunar. Since both Luna and Lucia begin with 'lu' I thought it was clear enough.

I think he was only called Deadly Mel once or twice. I think Kizyr said that in Japanese it was more like "blood-soaked Mel" but I'll have to reread his notes on the Japanese game. Anyway, I would guess that Sega wouldn't have let them call him Hell Mel anyway; they required all the pentagrams in EB...

If you're going to take things so seriously, at least be careful. I said "double a vowel in the original name." So if there was another character in the game named Lunaa, then I would venture a guess that she was a Luna clone. Uh, Luna's name does double a vowel. The world and game is runa; Luna's ...

Yes, obviously. What I'm wondering is whether Japanese store sites do the same thing. I didn't look closely enough at the site on which the image is hosted to see if it's a store or a news site or what.

Ah, yes, yet another of my projects that I haven't gotten to, making lists of all the spell names in the various versions and seeing what's changed. But I seem to recall that you and I compared notes on this a year or so ago and most of the Legend names were the same as the PS/Saturn ones. In my cop...

Hm. Do we know if that's official? Because I can't help thinking of how EBGames (I think) will do mock-ups of box art just to have a placeholder on their preorder page. Though the pic is interesting, as two of the characters seem to have switched places.

Umm...I think you're confused. There is no English Saturn version of any of the games; the PlayStation port was translated instead. A guide to the English PS game may help; another thing to try would be to check Kizyr's Lunar Legend guide for the spell names, since most of those are the same as in t...

Yeah, I noticed the contradiction between Mel founding Meribia and marrying into its nobility long ago. I never thought of Mel and Meribia being close together in sound, but they probably are in Japanese, assuming neither name was changed in translation. It doesn't really seem likely that Mel founde...

I'm excited by the prospect of having a new Lunar game, but that reaction is not unmixed. First, I don't think it's a great idea to speculate too much as it may lead to disappointment if you start expecting something different from what you get (e.g, all the talk about whether Lucia is related to EB...

I read through them quickly at work. I'll have to go over them now with the artbook in hand for context. Thanks, Temzin and G1! I've been itching to know what those pages said since I got it!
