PS1 was kind of a legendary era for RPGs. It's nice to see some Lunar love there.
Also, yay for Okami! I think I'm getting more and more addicted to that game every time I play it...

The Lufia II DS soundtrack is AWESOME!!!
I adore Lufia II on SNES. It sits beside Lunar, Final Fantasy, and Ecco in my heart. So as a treat, I bought the DS soundtrack on ebay and picked it up today. I am in LOVE. As with all good remakes, they kept the same melodies but cranked them up in awesomeness. 'The One Who Saves the Earth' made on...

Re: What Are You Currently Playing?
I'm going through my first run of Okami. I'm absolutely loving it, from the artwork and music to Issun's commentary, though it's been a little tough shifting from being a turn-based RPG girl to action-style combat. Dang Spider Queen took me at least half an hour to take down, and it wasn't fun nearl...

This one is one of my favorites, and not just for being Lunar. Someday, I'm going to have to choreograph something to this piece.

Re: Snowpocalypse 2011
MN's winter weather always sucks, but this year has been the worst. We've had snow since November. It was about forty degrees a week ago, and I was jumping in puddles on the walk to my car from work, and then we got slammed with another snowstorm. Seriously, we're finishing off our fourth month of s...

That works for Dragon Force?! Sweet!!!
Yeah, I tried this on the Sega CD years ago. Lunar, Spiderman, and Ecco all found their way into my CD player. In fact, I've probably played the Ecco games more as CDs than as game disks over all this time. Never thought about any other systems, though...

It's amazing how much of a difference the speed makes. The English version sounds like the boat is going to crash into something at any minute, while the Japanese version sounds a bit more leisurely.

Re: Video Game inspired tattoos... any ideas?
Some of the gothic architecture from the 'Castlevania' or 'Soul Reaver' series is pretty sweet. My brother has a Dracula-esque castle on one shoulder. There's also Lunar love- he has Althena's sword redrawn as a dagger on his leg. Maybe use some of the Lunar dragons for those interested? (Or other b...

I'd like to do it one year, but I'm trying to finish up a story I've been working on for years right now. Good luck to everyone's who's signed up, we'll try to help keep you going. (I've even seen books with tips on getting through each week.)

Good luck on freaking out the boss! We'll be celebrating my dad's b-day. (Dad born on Halloween, Mom on Friday the 13th. Kinda freaky. ) We're allowed to dress up at work. I usually use it as an excuse to break out my bellydance gear in public other than Renaissance Faire, but am won...

Re: Lufia Curse of the Sinistrals
Hmmm, how's the dialogue and the new battle system going? I've been going back and forth on whether to pick this up or not, (or just the soundtrack), because I loved the SNES form dearly and would be thrilled to see more Lufia II goodness, but I'm also a 'turn-based combat' kind of girl. (On the oth...

How are you after that tumble?
This shot is absolutely gorgeous. Beautiful location and well set-up with that tree on the top. I'd love to see more.

Bookworm that I am, I'll try not to clog this thread. I'm currently reading 'Patrick' by Stephen Lawhead at home, and am enjoying this just as much as his 'Arthur' series. It's refreshing to read a good fantasy/historical book with a positive spin on Christianity. Might have to try his 'Robin...

Hmmm, I wonder if this has any ties to Eiphel having an underwater fortress at the beginning of Harmony. Maybe there were ideas tossed around for an underwater dungeon in EBC and someone remembered for Harmony?

Wow, I haven't played Alundra in years. It might be fun to pick up and see how it compares to my memories. (Never knew it was a Working Designs game, though. You learn something new everyday. )

Re: Final Fantasy IX is one of the best games I've ever played
WHY did I not give the music the credit it was due? (Oh, yeah, it was because it was released not long after Chrono Cross. :P) Oh yeah! Chrono Cross had the best music. Quite a bit of it was breathtakingly lovely. The opening, 'On the Beach of Dreams', 'Jellyfish Sea', 'Marbule', and the final batt...
