That trilogy technically isnt a trilogy in any other way than that they are three action RPGs from Enix. Also Terranigma never released stateside. It only saw an english release in European territories. Its ashame too, its such an amazing game.

SUPER MARIO RPG. its very bright and cheerful, looks about the same as DKC, and it might broaden her horizons into more RPGs and newer games that you could both enjoy together. If you can locate a copy its worth a shot.

Grandia Xtreme isnt terrible, in fact it does have some semblance of a story once you get a little farther into it, but the first few dungeons are just incredibly tedious, and the story isnt anywhere near as grand as Grandia or Grandia II.
