Re: If Lunar 2 came out for Vita...
I don't always buy multiple versions of the same game.
But when I do, it's a Lunar game.

Re: Final Fantasy VI - iOS
Wow, this completely escaped my notice until now.
I don't have any issues with the style... But it looks upsampled, or built up from upsampled images. That's kind of chinzy.

Re: If Lunar 2 came out for Vita...
Well, I'd probably purchase 2 copies: the English and Japanese versions. Ditto. My thought is that a re-remake of Lunar 2 would be a bigger project than SSH unless Vanguard gets on board to develop it. But as far as I can recall, Vanguard hasn't worked on a Lunar game since L2EB. I'd be very intere...

Re: Favorite Lunar song?
In Eternal Blue, I really like the second overworld music, heard mainly on the west half of the world. I forget the exact locations. That's called Field to Tomorrow I believe. I love that one too. There's some other stuff I like too, but that game also introduced the horrid thud-thud-thud cave &quo...

Re: Animated Gif Sprite Resource?!?!
I never saw Ronfar as a Jessica clone. I thought he was a better attacker than Jessica, while Jessica was a better healer, actually and you almost had to work around Ronfar's lack of practice when it came to that department. ??? I don't remember it being like this at all. The series likes tough hea...

Re: Breath of Fire 6 announced
Did some research. Tatsuya Yoshikawa, the artist who worked on this series from the very beginning and defined its look, quit Capcom around 2011 out of frustration. He freelances now; he had a piece in a Assassin's Creed art exhibition in Japan. http://www.famitsu.com/news/201110/images/00052699/WB3...

Re: Breath of Fire 6 announced
Wow! Breath of Fire isn't dead! ...And that h8 is pretty over-the-top. I think I can feel the chances of this game getting released in the west decreasing with each thread and news story I read. Or maybe I'm giving these loudmouths too much credit? They aren't the target audience anyway. On the othe...

Re: Lunar2 Ruining all other games for life?
Xenoblade Chronicles's characters aren't quite as likeable for me, but the exploration is so fantastic. I haven't enjoyed an RPG as much as Xenoblade in years. (Not since... Harukanaru Toki no Naka de 3, I think. Not that I'm gonna give a general recommendation on it.) You are right about Xenoblade...

Re: Alex And Hiro
It's nice to have a protagonist with a distinct character rather than a bland stand-in for the player that never worked for me because hello, I am not a teenage boy Being in the same boat, I have always preferred protagonists that are decently integrated into the story. To me, the player stand-ins ...

Re: lol Plaza Capcom??
"The photo booth corner is reserved for women." I was curious about why an arcade operator would have a restriction like this, so I did some research: As it turns out...these photo booths are mostly used by women. Some men have started trying to hit on the photo booth patrons, using the bi...

Do you ever wonder if there are tons more villages in RPG worlds than the ones you get to see? That the others are just omitted because they wouldn't serve any narrative or gameplay purpose?

Weird stuff from pixiv:
Guys from 16 bit RPGs who wear masks should also wield chainsaws, just ask Edgar.

This is a piledriver, right?

Square-Enix Trying to Get Back To Basics?
An article about this has been making the rounds: http://www.p4rgaming.com/?p=1507 S-E tried out a program they called RPG Juku, in which staff members were required to play Super Mario RPG in hopes of tapping into the magic of yesteryear. RPG Juku was apparently cancelled for being too much of a ti...

Speaking of "interesting" Dyne and Ghaleon stuff, I love this artist's work. http://we-were-in-love.deviantart.com/ Dyne/Ghaleon is kinda just the tip of the iceburg with this one. There's some very nice and minimally subtexty comics as well, like this 8-parter about how Nash bec...

Love the gif!
Dunno what I'd want Lunar 3 to be about, other than that I'd want a significant time-skip if it was to take place after Lunar 2.
I think a low budget, digital distro Adventures of Nall Between Lunar 1 and Lunar 2 would be brilliant. People love Nall.

lol, hadn't noticed that. I think it's great, personally. Wouldn't be the first game with a musician-based name theme...Breath of Fire 2 used one (and many other topics besides.)
