Re: Civilization V announced for the Fall

Holy Crap.. Hexagons. That blows my mind considering that Civ 1 using squares as a way to not scare people out of playing it was a big deal at the time. But in the end hexagons always prevail! Go hexagons! I do hope they learned some lessons from Civ Rev and don't have as much extraneous stuff...

Re: Mass Effect 1 and 2: SPOILERS! SPOILERS! SPOILERS! SPOILERS!

All the other Reavers coming in to pwn the galaxy at the end of ME2, why do they all look like bugs if all Reavers are crafted from liquefied (insert alien race) and thus take their shape? Obviously, they are NOT formed in such a manner because what was Sovereign tells you they've been doing this f...

Re: Best Console Generation For RPGs?

While the PS1 generation did have a glut of JRPGs ensuring that at least a few of them were good, I don't think it did the most for RPGs as a whole. That generation allowed previous ideas and concepts that were very popular in JRPGs to be polished and refined until there wasn't much of a way to evol...

Re: Is anyone going to dress up for Halloween?

Looks like I'll be dressing up again this year. I'm one of those people who spend a bunch on a costume and then like, whore it out for a few years. n.n; Current costume is V from V for Vendetta.

Lol, guess I should have mentioned that my name over at CoH is @Andromeda, so if you follow the link you can see which arcs are nominated. Redoubt Operations #1 : Fires over Kalago - ArcID 1297 was nominated for Best Villain Group and Redoubt Operations #2: Wrath of the Imperium - ArcID 269283 was n...

So, like, um, I almost won something

Yeah so a lot of you probably don't know this but I've been playing City of Heroes a lot. Well one thing City of Heroes has that sets it apart is that you can create missions which are organized into story arcs of 1-5 missions and played by anyway. Just recently they had the 2009 Mission Architect A...

Re: Should I care about David Letterman's Monologue?

However, that doesn't change Letterman's infidelities. I think he's to be admired for the one action, but that doesn't alleviate his guilt. I hope that doesn't get forgotten. What infidelities? All of this happened before he got married. The only really "bad" thing he, as far as we know c...

Re: Advertisements I really can't stand...

For me personally, Empire Carpet and Stanley Steamer, especially the one with the little kid saying repeatedly, "It's boo-de-ful". Oh, any and all diaper commercials. The discovery channel's habit of pimping their shows repeatedly in one hour on their channel. I think that about covers it.

Did they ever catch those responsible? See, this is why I'm a huge fan of Claymore mines at doors and windows. =P The police in my area couldn't be bothered to find, confront, or question, a thief broke into several cars and ripped out car stereos when we had him him clearly on video tape from seve...

There was a story about them going bankrupt and someone else picking it up or licensing or whatever, I don't know, it's kind of old news by now. Suffice it to say DNF is something that refuses to die completely.

Re: illegal immigration

To be fair, most nations are full of xenophobic bigots. Encouraging xenophobia is generally how you get a group of people to identify themselves as a nation. IE: Our nation is great! Those other nations suck! People not in our nation suck! But yes, most of the rules against illegal immigration usual...

This coming from the guy who opposite Mike Meyers at a benefit to raise money for Katrina victims decided to scream out that George Bush doesn't care about black people on live television. I've notice a common thread in Kanye's little temper tantrums.

Re: Recession 2.0

BTW, typically the cycle of recession I was taught was to expect one every 11 years. Due to the tinkering however the time between recessions is getting shorter and shorter. I mean they're occurring, what, one every 8 years now? Generally speaking a recession corrects a boom the market can't sustai...

Re: Japanese voice actors have nothing on English voice actors

I mean, I'm indifferent between the two (for apparent reasons), but I understand why some people would prefer one over the other, even if it's something like a mediocre English voice over a good Japanese voice, or a flat Japanese voice over a decent-but-unfamiliar English voice. KF I note in that r...
