Thanks for the informative post! Not being a soccer fan myself, I'm not familiar with the international game on any level beyond watching the results scroll by on the ESPN ticker or the occasional story about head-butts (indeed, I have a sneaky, cynical suspicion that were it not for MLS's broadcast...

Er, I don't think it's a bad reflection on the MLS to let him go play for England. Even though he may miss a few games because of it, keep in mind, MLS nor the Galaxy have any say in the matter. That's what I meant--that the MLS doesn't have the "juice" to keep its people playing in its o...

It rather reminds me of when Tony Stewart (and later, much less relevantly, Robby Gordon) would race the Indianapolis 500 in the IRL, then take a helicoptor flight to drive in the Coca-Cola 600 for NASCAR. Though on the other hand, it says a lot about the status of MLS (or more accurately, its lack ...

I really liked PSO for a month. I wish it didn't become so unbearable to play online (I wasn't into the game enough to play off-line either). Is Phantasy Star Universe any good? Or have you not played it yet? I haven't played it. The offline story mode got a fair number of bad reviews from PS fans ...

Yeah, there's even a special holiday quest (open to male PCs only--just like the Valentine's Day quest is for females) where you go down to Ragol to get the ingredients for the Cake Sisters to make chocolate for you to give to your favorite sweetie. :D Typical, though, that the female quest involves...

Now, see, I'm more of a sit-on-my-feelings-until-they-built-up-and-explode kind of guy, rather than letting out a little minor grumbling and sarcastic wit now and then to vent the pressure. Your way's probably better. :D

Re: When is White Day?

I can never remember if it's March 14th or 15th. The 14th seems to logically make more sense, since that's one month after Valentine's Day, but for some reason my memory is trying to tell me that it's the 15th. Does anyone know? March 14th. (Wiki jp link) . KF Thanks, Kizyr! My next Phantasy Star O...

I just got and played that game in July, myself (love those Wal-Mart specials--$14.88 for it in a two-pack with...something...). It rocks, though that "dead really means dead" thing can make for some want-to-hurl-the-DS-at-the-wall moments when an enemy gets in a lucky shot (Curse you, Rei...

given the amount of detail here, if i didn't know any better, i'd say you guys ENJOYED dragon song. lol Well, like I already said, it had some really great ideas in it. These great ideas just didn't get fleshed out properly by JAM. Jian's character arc may be a hollow shell of what it was intended ...

This is cool, though. I'm in the middle of another playthrough of Dragon Song at the moment, and I'm finding I'm enjoying it more this time through. Maybe it's the lowered expectations? Not to mention your superior knowledge of what works, what doesn't, and what to avoid doing. Second playthroughs ...

YES! It was definitely the Fiends who did it (hm...and I have a vague recollection of Omni-Z doing it before a Metal Shot, too...dern him...). Welcome to our shared delusion. :D

If they had actually wanted to, a limited amount of animation and voice acting could have been done, absolutely. It would probably be a limited amout, about the same as in TSS, though. You know, looking at RPGfan's review of Luminous Arc (speaking of DS games I'm looking forward to trying), it look...

Yeah, I'd have to agree with Alunissage on that. If Ghaleon had led off with the "wave bye-bye" line, it would be different, but since he first identifies Lucia as the target of his attack. At least, that's how I recall interpreting it when I was actually playing it.

Nice work! The nose (and the sense of smallness given by the size of the room and the stacks of papers) make him look vaguely gnomish (in the sense of the original 1st Edition gnomes, before Dragonlance came along and ruined the entire race forever).

I wonder how Leo responded to being given Nall's dragon aura. The other three were in on the plot with Zophar, but he wasn't. Of course, it doesn't seem to have done anything for him, while for Borgan the Black Dragon Aura was the source of his power. Thinking about it, Leo probably would be a very...

But Ozone has a good point, too. There's nothing wrong with having a songwriter or lyricist write your music (indeed, since I happen...or used, at least...to be a more "pop" oriented music fan, I wouldn't trust some of those idols to write their autograph, let alone a song...). But when yo...

There's a part where the False Althena tries to justify her claim by saying that she's protected by the Dragonmaster (Ghaleon) and the Four Dragons. Similarly, it can be said that Ghaleon controls the power of the Four Dragons, but he does so by force (kind of like what he did in SSS, in fact). The...
